Baby Shower

Today was little Phoebe's baby shower, and I feel very blessed for so many things about today, but I'll just mention a few. The first is for my great supportive family. I could never pull off a lot of the hosting things I do without the support of my mom and husband. They are such a blessing to me, and though I sometimes think that I strive on stress, they really help eliminate it and let things flow smoothly.

I feel so blessed with the turn out and the way the shower went. We ended up picking a pretty busy Saturday, and there were many people who couldn't come, but there were some who came that I wasn't expecting and that is such a huge blessing to me. I just loveTeriDawn and little Phoebe so much, and want others to join in their special celebration, so it was great to have a living room full of her family and friends there.

How can I not mention Phoebe? What a little sweetheart she is, and it was such a blessing to have her there- it's so fun to have showers when the baby's already born and everyone can meet her. I also especially thought it was a blessing that Phoebe's big sister, Sariah could come to the shower as well. She was just glowing with pride over her little sister, and she just livened the room by being there.

I am so grateful for the blessing of babies- Heavenly Father is so wise. Many different animals have babies that can practically take care of themselves right from the start, but with us He created perfect, beautiful spirits, that are bound in the cutest, helpless bodies. What growth and joy we all experience from nurturing and being around babies, and Phoebe is no exception.

Kyrie and Asher

Whew! These last eight days have been quite the wild ride. We have had so much fun with Kyrie and Asher here, but it's definitely been hard on them being away from their mom and dad for so long. I am so grateful for this opportunity to have them in our home, and I hope they've created some great memories while they were here and won't forget all about us when they're hundreds of miles away. I am so grateful for them and the blessings that they are to our family. I've learned quite a lot this last week, but mostly just how to love them even more. We will miss them.

Chuck E Cheese

Today we did our big Chuck E Cheese trip, which the kids have been looking forward to. It was so fun, and of course a little crazy with tokens and tickets and games and pizza and excitement everywhere. Today I feel very blessed for my sister coming to Chuck E Cheese to come and play with us all for a little bit. Her timing was perfect, and it ended up being so helpful to have her there so we could keep track of everyone while I was helping Asher finish his dinner. Looking back, I wonder how we would have done it without her. I'm sure we would have survived, but it was such a blessing for her to be there, and want to share her time with us.

Church With Cousins

Today I feel very blessed to have gotten four beautiful children to church on time by myself. It was really picturesque, especially considering the normal craziness we have on Sundays with just our own girls; I carried Lauren in while holding Asher and Abigail's hands, and Kyrie held Abigail's other hand. They walked in so reverently and then folded their arms on the way to their classes. The rest of the meeting wasn't quite as perfect, but Drew and I survived (so did the kids), and I am just so grateful for that one moment of perfect reverence.
