To The Temple

Today was a great day. Drew and I were able to go to the temple and spend several hours in the house of the Lord, which is always a blessing, and it was great to have our girls so close and being watched by good friends. It was nice driving up all together and having to leave them for less time, and really just made it easier to serve. We are blessed. The temple was wonderful, and the busiest I've ever seen it. That is so great- every time we drive by a busy casino I always wish that it's parking lot would be empty and the temple's would be full and today the temple was really full! It was wonderful to be surrounded by so many faithful people and to always be right by Drew.

Boys Night Out

Last week I was blessed to go out for a fun girls night and tonight it was Drew's turn to just have some time with the boys. This really was a blessing for me. Even while being a mother and a wife I sometimes still find ways to be selfish and think about me first, so it was really nice to let him have a night just for him. The girls and I had a fun time- they got to take a special bubble bath in my tub and then get their nails painted so all in all it was quite a fun evening for everyone. I do believe that families come first, but I think part of that is making sure each member get's their individual needs met and it was a blessing for us to help do that tonight.

Swim Class

Today was Abigail's final swim class for the winter session. It was actually supposed to be last month, but because of all the bad weather has been rescheduled two different times. After the holidays, Abigail was feeling less excited about swim class, and it was a blessing to find fun ways to remind her of how fun swim class is so she could finish this session. We started playing swim class at home, and she just regained her love for it! She loves being the teacher and then letting me be the teacher and we do everything they do at swim class- right on her own bed as the gutter and on her rug as the water. It's so fun to watch her play and use her imagination, and it was a nice blessing for her to be excited to finish this last swim class from the earlier session.

Story Time

Today our local Library started up its story time again and it was such a blessing to go and get back in the routine that we love. Story time today seemed extra fun- there were less kids and more activities that kept them very engaged- and we were there for twice as long as we normally are. This is one of our favorite weekly outings and it was so good to be back again- and watch Abbie and Lauren having so much fun with the stories and kids.

Three Little Words

That is a blessing that I know I'll be grateful for all year. We made it through our year of reverse, afternoon church and now the wonderful schedule has come. Hallelujah! We were all ready to go well before it was time to leave so we even took a quick picture (blurry on self timer, but a picture nonetheless). We arrived plenty early, Abigail went to her first day of Primary, Lauren went to Nursery, I have new students in my Sunday School class, Drew taught a great lesson, and we made it home happy.
